The annual Children’s Christmas party took place on Sunday, December 9th at the newly renovated St. Joseph’s salle des fetes in Grenoble. The children had a great time meeting Santa/Father Christmas, making crafts, signing Christmas carols, and eating Christmas cookies. Merry Christmas!
Gobble Gobble! Our annual Thanksgiving celebration was held on Sunday, November 25 at the lovely Salles des Fêtes in Corenc. We had a great turnout of new and old members alike. While the adults enjoyed the champagne aperitif, the children were busied with fun crafts led by our VP of Children’s Programs, Marina Basko. The catered turkey was delicious, as were all of the sides and desserts that members contributed.
A big thanks to our VP of Programs, Kiri Duval-Hope, who did an excellent job of planning such a great party. And thanks to all of the members who also helped make the party a great success. Looking forward to celebrating with you again next year!!
The second Member’s Expo of the year was held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the CLEF. This year’s Halloween Party was held on Sunday, October 14 at the CLEF. The children (and some adults) came dressed up in their costumes and had fun making crafts, playing some fun games, and eating delicious treats. Prizes were given for best costumes and best dessert. Thanks to Marina and Lindsay for helping make the party a big success!
Our annual family picnic was held on Sunday, June 24th at the CUJD in Montbonnot. We were fortunate to have lovely weather and a pretty decent turn-out. The food was delicious, as usual, and the kids were entertained with some good old-fashioned games. In addition, the Dance Group entertained us with some hula dancing.
The last Book Club meeting of the year was held on June 18th at the Fantin Latour Restaurant in Grenoble. A big thanks to Michèle Wanneau for leading the Book Club this year!

This year’s Easter Egg/Treasure Hunt was a great success. It was held on Sunday, April 1st, at the Centre Théologique in Meylan. Kira Froude, our VP of Children’s Programs, did an excellent job planning and leading this event.
The party started off with the children making Easter Bunny bags, so that they would have something in which to carry all of their candy and treasure. Afterwards, the children scurried all over the grassy park area in search of their hidden treasure. Everyone seemed happy with their finds. And, in case they didn’t have enough sweets to eat, we celebrated with a goûter/snack of yummy homemade treats brought by the parents. The party ended with the children planting assorted vegetable seeds in small pots. It was a dirty job, but Kira and baby Ann were up to the challenge.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this event. We look forward to another fun Easter party again next year!
